Shah Rukh Khan (born November 2, 1965) is an Indian actor and film producer who works predominantly in Hindi cinema. After appearing in the television series *Fauji* (1988) and *Circus* (1989), he made his feature film debut with the romantic drama *Deewana* (1992), winning the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. He subsequently achieved recognition playing antagonistic roles in the thrillers *Baazigar* (1993) and *Darr* (1993), earning his first Filmfare Award for Best Actor for the former. Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, Khan established himself in commercial Hindi cinema with leading roles in the romantic dramas *Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge* (1995), *Dil To Pagal Hai* (1997), and *Kuch Kuch Hota Hai* (1998), all of which earned him Filmfare Awards for Best Actor. His subsequent dramatic credits included the period romance *Devdas* (2002), the drama *Swades* (2004), the sports drama *Chak De! India* (2007), and *My Name Is Khan* (2010), earning four additional Filmfare Awards for Best Actor. As a producer, Khan co-founded the production and distribution company Red Chillies Entertainment, backing features such as *Main Hoon Na* (2004), *Om Shanti Om* (2007), and *Chennai Express* (2013). In 2023, he returned to leading roles in the action thrillers *Pathaan* and *Jawan*, followed by the social comedy-drama *Dunki*. For his performance in *Jawan*, he won the National Film Award for Best Actor.
