Synopsis
In 2003, 22-year-old Thomas Broich first makes headlines as a second-division player in the Bavarian province. Soon he is seen as a hope for the national team between Schweinsteiger and Podolski. He loves life, literature, and moral values - he is discovered by the media as 'the other professional' and praised as 'Mozart' and 'the new Netzer'. He increasingly faces problems with authoritarian coaches and finds it harder to identify with the mechanisms of the industry. His difference and the expectations of viewers and media now turn against him, and his career begins to wobble. In 2009, Broich notices symptoms of depression and is on the verge of ending his professional career. But he has one better idea that reconciles him with football and himself far from home...
