Synopsis
During the Second Sino-Japanese War, in a certain area of Jiaodong. The Japanese invaders gathered thousands of people to carry out a crazy sweep against our Yashan base, and the city was empty of troops. A certain unit of the Eighth Route Army, Commander Zheng (Li Gan) instructed Lieutenant Liu (Liang Yin) to go deep behind enemy lines, blow up the enemy's ammunition depot, cut off the enemy's arms supply, and relieve the pressure on the base. After receiving the task, he and Sergeant Zhang (Zhang Changbo) and Xiao Ma (Zhang Jiqiang) disguised themselves and entered the city, infiltrating the enemy's garrison to find out the ammunition reserves and transportation situation. The Japanese captain Xiao Ye (Fang Hua) learned that the Eighth Route Army had entered the city and ordered the intelligence chief Diao Desheng (Wang Jieren) to strengthen the search in the city and the guard of the ammunition depot. He also suddenly changed the ammunition transportation plan. Lieutenant Liu entered the city again, and they captured Translator Wang (Sun Ao), from whom they discovered a list of spies and forced him to hand over Xiao Ye's transportation plan. Diao Desheng rushed over upon hearing this, but Lieutenant Liu had already left, and at this time the enemy's ammunition depot was blown up.
