Synopsis
The life of Elif, a Yörük girl living at the peak of Toroslar, is trapped between her grandmother and the mountains. The pressure her grandmother puts on her and her mother has made their lives unhappy. Elif's mother, Hatice, struggles all day with cooking, cleaning, gathering firewood, and milking cows, while also dealing with insults from her mother-in-law. To make matters worse, Hatice's second husband, Ali, also mistreats her under the pressure of his mother. There is nothing for the housewife to be pleased about.
