Synopsis
During the Cultural Revolution, one night. Researcher Xiao Huang (Wei Na) is murdered, missile fuel A-1 is stolen, and veteran policeman Liu Jie (Yu Yang) is listed as a suspect, with the police issuing a wanted notice. On a train heading south, Liu Jie discovers that he is being pursued by Su Zhe (Shao Wanlin), who is meeting with rebel leader Wang Li (Gao Jumei), and upon noticing Liu Jie, Su pulls out a gun and injures him, sending him to the crematorium, where an old worker sympathizes with Liu's plight and helps him escape. Liu Jie finds Wang Fengnian (Zhao Ziyue), and they have a long talk, further strengthening their resolve. Liu Jie's student Zhang Qiang (Ma Shuchao) is also pursuing Liu Jie, he does not believe Liu Jie is a bad person. At this time, Liu Jie meets Wei Xiaoming (Cai Ming) on the train heading south, who also tries to help him. After jumping off the train, he is arrested by his old comrade, police chief Wei Ziheng, and upon meeting his comrade, he explains the situation and receives Wei's help.
