Synopsis
France is occupied. On the snowy slopes of the Jura, the Gestapo and the Militia monitor the borders. Just a few kilometers away, Switzerland. For the fleeing resistors, the Jews, freedom. There are two smugglers in the village. One, an idealist and libertarian, Anthonioz, helps outcasts of all kinds cross the border. The other, an opportunist and unscrupulous smuggler, Nicod, only smuggles valuables.
