Synopsis
The documentary is divided into 2 parts as indicated above!!! National Geographic explores centuries of knowledge and myths and uncovers vampires through a new science. The ideas, superstitions, and psychology of people about the vampires that roamed the earth during the time of Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci. Historical records show how people thought about them and even describe how to bury them safely. Now, more than 400 years later, a mass grave from the 16th century is being uncovered near Venice, containing a skeleton with a brick between the jaws of the skull. This appears to be evidence of a macabre ritual aimed at 'killing' a vampire.
