Synopsis
When the gypsy camp he lived in is attacked, Karika escapes to save her life and is rescued by Cevher, who studies at a village institute in the same area. With the support of İsmail Hakkı, Cevher provides shelter for the orphaned girl by placing her in the institute. However, this situation does not sit well with the villagers, and pressure is applied to the institute to throw the gypsy out. The regional commander Necip, who has always been uncomfortable with the existence of the institute, conducts a raid and arrests the director Kemal Öğretmen. These events and the arrest process coincide with the period of closure of village institutes across the country. The innocence of Kemal Öğretmen is ultimately proven, but the grim fate of the village institutes does not change.
