Synopsis
In 1942, hundreds of Japanese military and traitors surrounded Dongwangzhuang, setting up machine guns and firing wildly, leaving corpses everywhere. The arriving members of the guerrilla team could not contain their anger and asked their captain, Wei Qiang, for battle to avenge their fellow villagers. Wei Qiang led the guerrilla team disguised as fake police into the city, cleverly capturing the fake police chief of Zhonglu Town, and brought him back to Dongwangzhuang for public trial. While people were celebrating, the fake police ran back to Baoding City and reported to the night raid captain Liu Kuisheng, who was teasing his wife Xiao Hongyun. The fake police slapped Liu Kuisheng, who bit back and falsely accused the fake police of having an affair with the guerrilla team. To save his life, the fake police had to give his wife to Liu Kuisheng. The train commander of Baoding South Gate, Xiao Bencang, also coveted the fake police's wife, Xiao Hongyun, and sent Duan Zhang Wanzhong to invite Xiao Hongyun to the station to tell stories, but Xiao Hongyun refused to submit and committed suicide by cutting her wrist with scissors. Liu Kuisheng dared not express his anger towards the Japanese, and Wei Qiang took advantage of their contradictions to launch a night raid on the station, killing Xiao Bencang and Duan Zhang Wanzhong. Matsuda blamed their deaths on Liu Kuisheng, killed him, and appointed the fake police as the night raid captain. In the end, the guerrilla team wiped out the invading team, killed the fake police, and blew up the gendarmerie headquarters to avenge their fellow villagers, greatly boosting the morale of the people in the anti-Japanese struggle.
