Synopsis

The years of NEP. Young telegraphist Chizhok from a distant taiga, reading dots and dashes of paper tapes every day, learned about the great deeds happening in the country. Finally, she managed to fulfill her dream - she arrived in Moscow. The first disappointment when getting to know the NEP capital was soon replaced by a joyful feeling of unity with the Komsomol life of the city. When Chizhok returned to her native places, she took an active part in the great construction that had begun during her absence.
