Synopsis

The inhabitants of a small town in the South, already brought to their knees by the economic crisis and the pandemic, are suddenly overwhelmed by tax bills from Equitù. In reality, behind the "illegal taxation" is the Mayor, a cynical and corrupt man, willing to do anything to balance the municipal budget and conquer the Secretary's chair within his party. Among the victims of the tax collectors led by the fearsome director of Equitù, known as the Sheriff, are also Toni, a broke representative of gloves and masks, and Emanuele, a bizarre dog hair-stylist. While they are waiting in line at the Equitù offices, they discover that they are both linked to that exorbitant tax bill for the non-compliance of Emanuele's dog beauty salon, of which Toni turns out to be the owner following an inheritance left by his deceased grandmother.
